My poem “The Man From San Jose,” won First Place in the Inland Empire California Writer’s Club Annual Poetry Contest. Here it appears in the March Issue of their magazine Fresh Ink. (on page 9)

This year marks changes for my classes. They’ll be offered online. I’m a huge fan of sharing with voices, so conference calls are worked into these classes three times. Two are group calls; one is a private consultation toward the end of class. The class will start with our first conference call and an hour-and-a-half lecture and first assignment. The second week we’ll have our second conference call and each participant will read their first article, get feedback, and share the excitement. Add a private blog for questions during the week, lessons sent by pdf weekly, three articles and three queries completed by the end of class, and an optional gift exchange at the end.
